Testing was performed to determine a suitable method for marking parts.

The requirements:

• Human-readable characters along with a 2D matrix
• Create characters that were legible during and after manufacturing
• Produce adequate contrast
• Ensure the process would not create particulate while marking
• Minimal reduction of corrosion resistance of the substrate
