Edgewater Automation to host Manufacturing Day event on October 2, 2018 for the Southwest Michigan community

Edgewater Automation will host Students and Community Members for a Manufacturing Day event on October 2, 2018, as part of an effort to draw greater attention to today’s manufacturing environment and the outstanding opportunities that a career in manufacturing can provide. Edgewater Automation will open its doors for facility tours with hands-on demonstrations to allow community members to see first-hand the safe, high-tech and innovative work environments that await those who pursue careers in manufacturing.

Over 130 students from Bridgman High School and Hartford High School will be attending. Edgewater business partners including FANUC Robotics, Lanphear, and Industrial Controls will be onsite with representatives and demonstrations. Attendees will receive an inside look at a modern manufacturing facility with demos of Automated Manufacturing Equipment, 3D Printers, Robotics, Drones, CNC Machines, 3D Engineering Software, Electrical Panels, and more. Students, educators, and community members will learn what local companies make and the kinds of jobs available in manufacturing.

09:30 a.m. – Hartford HS arrives
