Updates Regarding COVID-19

Edgewater Automation is currently working on a limited, as needed, basis due to projects that qualify as “Critical Infrastructure” as defined by US-DHS CISA guidelines. The leadership team here at Edgewater is closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation and will do their best to keep employees informed with any updates.

On Monday, March 23, 2020 Governor Gretchen Whitmer issued the “Stay Home, Stay Safe” Executive Order (EO 2020-21)” directing all Michigan businesses and operations to temporarily suspend in-person operations that are not necessary to sustain or protect life.

Effective at 12:01 am on March 24, 2020, for at least the next three weeks, individuals may only leave their home or place of residence under very limited circumstances, and they must adhere to social distancing measures recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention when they do so, including remaining at least six feet from people from outside the individual’s household to the extent feasible under the circumstances. Our essential personnel working on-premise during this time have been instructed to follow CDC guidelines as well.

Please know that the Edgewater leadership will be working diligently to bring us all back together at work again as quickly as possible.  Currently, we are working through all of the information and details to make the best possible decision for everyone.

Employees with a fever or flu-like symptoms should stay home, follow guidelines CDC guidelines and contact a health care provider immediately. Employees should contact their primary care physician.

COVID-19 is an infectious respiratory disease caused by a new (novel) coronavirus that was first reported in December 2019 in Wuhan, China.

COVID-19  symptoms include mild to severe respiratory illness with fever, cough and difficulty breathing.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) is thought to spread mainly from person-to-person within approximately six feet. The virus spreads via respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes and their droplets land in the mouths/noses of nearby people or are inhaled into their lungs. It may be possible that a person can get the virus by touching a surface that has the virus on it and touching their mouth or eyes before washing their hands. For more information, see the CDC page, How it Spreads.
